The optimist creed

I thought this was great from an American chap called Bud Bilanich. I am going to try to practice this more. Its difficult in these challenging times but its a good reminder that we need to stay positive.

The Optimist Creed

Promise yourself:

• To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
• To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.
• To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.
• To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.
• To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.
• To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
• To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
• To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.
• To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticise others.
• To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Money or the lack of it seems to be at the top of the 'gloom agenda' at the moment so I thought this e-book, from a great guy called Neil Croft (web page ), would be useful to help us all get things into perspective.

What about a bigger boat!!

Now that we are officially 'the best Media Club' in Stamford (based on the fact that we are the only one), what about trying to make the network bigger. I am sure we all have friends in the Media that would love to join our little group. So here's a challenge - at the Media Club meeting at the end of September what about 'bring a friend' rather than 'bring a bottle'. If this is too easy you can of course bring a bottle as well.

Anyway give it some thought. Le me know if you want to bring someone so that we can sort out the catering for the BBQ at DUO.
